4/7/08 - I appreciate all the guest comments and hope to keep improving the site and content on a weekly basis. Of note, I tried the 100% squalene from Daybreak Lavendar Farms http://www.daybreaklavenderfarm.com/store/Only-Facial-Satinizer-100-Olive-derived-span-class-highlight-Squalane-span-pr-16624.html and although I don't have excess blood vessels on my face, I felt that I had improved moisture and skin tone with this "oil".  The squalene is an inhibitor of angiogenesis and should be used in areas where there are felt to be excess blood vessels.  This could be anywhere on your skin but especially those areas associated with lipomatosis. The squalene described here has no odor and is non-sticky. The amaranth oil from Garden State Naturals also went on smoothly and is non-sticky-- but I felt like I smelled like a bowl of Cheerios. Good if you want the squalene and omega-3-fatty acids.

4/8/08- With new information from people taking glycine, I added some more references on glycine on the bottom of the adiposis dolorosa page. It seems that glycine may be an appetite suppressant - noni juice as well.  We'll have to wait for more testimonials.

4/16/08 - I am going to Arizona today to evaluate data on the genetic mapping of fat disorders mentioned on this website and to examine how gene expression varies in fat in collaboration with TGen (Translational Genetics in Phoenix, AZ).

7/29/08 - The1st Annual Irish Poker Run To Benefit Dercum’s Disease Research on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Warwick Knights of Columbus in Warwick, RI was a great success.  Over $1900.00 was raised and good fun was had by every one.
